Why Thread Rolling Is Better
The diagram illustrates the superior characteristics of the rolled versus a cut thread. A machine cut thread introduces stresses, often leaves a rough surface and weakens the grain structure. Thread rolling is a cold working process that increases the strength of the thread as much as 30% and renders smooth and burnished flanks.
