Rolled Threads Unlimited was founded in 1985 with just four employees. Now, nearly 40 years later, Rolled Threads has expanded to employ 34 employees, in a manufacturing space that has increased in size tenfold from our start. These transformations are evidence of our company’s growth, as we proactively responded to changes undergone by the fastener industry since the 1980s.
Rolled Threads has always aimed to be at the forefront of the industry’s technological advancements. We have invested heavily in thread rolling technology, including recent purchases of two state-of-the-art machines, a high-performance parts washer, and a high-speed planetary threads roller.
Reflecting such technological investments, over the years Rolled Threads has also expanded the industries we serve, now consisting of: oil and gas, water control products, power generation and transmission, agriculture, mining, construction, and railroad. Our new machine purchases can open doors for us in other industries too, such as heavy equipment and fluid power.
Additionally, innovations in supply chain management have allowed for optimization of the flow of fasteners to our customers. With our inventory management services, we can produce products and then store them in our warehouse, so they are ready when the customer needs them. We also mitigated supply chain disruptions caused by the COVID-19 pandemic by expanding our vendor bases and proactively advising our customers of growing lead times.
As more stringent quality-control standards and industry-specific regulations were implemented over time, Rolled Threads became ISO 9001:2015 certified. This certification means our products have been—and continue to be—checked for quality, and we have quality controls and quality management systems in place. In addition, we became National Institute of Standards and Technology 800-171 compliant, which better equips us to anticipate, detect, and respond to potential cyber threats, safeguarding critical infrastructure and customer data in the process.
In a landscape that is more complex, diverse, and technical than in our beginning in 1985, Rolled Threads has found success in consistently prioritizing quality relationships with our customers. We would be grateful to have you be a part of our growth story—start a conversation today.
